Embelton Mountain Loop – Sun Peaks, BC
If you are determined and thrilled by a challenge, Embelton mountain Loop may be the hike for you. The distance covers 8.4km and takes roughly 3 hours and 6 minutes to complete. It is located near sun peaks, providing stunning views of Heffley Lake and its surrounding areas, which could be seen as a scenic motivation towards completion of this trail.
Tom Moore Trail – Kamloops, BC
Tom Moore trail, which is 5 KM in distance away from TRU. This path takes you on a loop of the scenic roots of Kamloops and because of this, it is seen as one of the best trails to explore in town. Within this trail, you are given the opportunity to explore Peterson Creek Nature Park and Billy Miner Trail.
Battle Bluff Trail – Kamloops BC
Another breath-taking hike is Battle Bluff’s trail, which is 4.5Km away. This hike is suggested to more advanced and experienced hikers, due to it being moderately challenging and taking 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete. This hard work will be rewarded however, as at the top as you get to take snapshots of the beautiful Kamloops Lake.
LULU Lookout – Lillooet, BC
If you are looking to go outside of Kamloops to hike on the weekend or during summer Lulu Lookout is the hike for you! Just a short two hour drive, Lillooet has some of the most beautiful views in BC. Lulu Lookout hike is a 1.3 KM family friendly and pet friendly hike that overlooks a beautiful glacier water lake. The Lookout is called lulu due to the road just beneath looking like the swirly lululemon symbol. In more recent years it has become a staple spot for social media influencers to go and take photos of the amazing view.
Cinnamon Ridge – Kamloops, BC
Are you ready to put your hiking skills to the test? If so, Cinnamon Ridge hike is awaiting all the advanced hikers. Located near the Kamloops airport this is the perfect hike for locals wanting to experience the outdoors, with friends, family, and your beloved pets. The hike is about two hours long at 4.9 KM and has unique views of dried up slot canyons and hoodoos.
Rim Loop Hike – Kamloops, BC
Rim Loop hike overlooks the beauties of Kamloops. Being an easy hike almost anyone is able to complete it in about 35 minutes – one hour. Located just outside of valleyview, the hike is easily accessible for those who drive. This trail is great to complete in the spring as the sun will be shining directly on you and it won’t be too hot out like during the summer. If you chose to complete this hike during the summer don’t forget to bring lots of water, sunscreen and an umbrella for some shade.
